The crime rate in the United States has reached proportions that require attention. The Government, as well as law enforcement agencies are only interested in putting everyone that commits a crime in prison. This is not a bad thing for some criminals, but we should be looking for a true cure to crime by decreasing the amount of victims we have through education. The average criminal creates an average of 14 victims during his or her crime stage. With today’s economic issues the crime rate is only going to worsen.
C.A.P.E.S. and Promises Inc. is committed to helping decrease the number of victims in this Country by educating children on how easy it is to take the wrong path to crime and tell them what the living conditions are like in the prison system in hopes of deterring criminal activity in the future. We believe that by giving them an idea of what life is like in the prison that this will give them something to base their future decisions on. An educated decision most always is the best one.
C.A.P.E.S. and Promises Inc. consists of ex-correctional staff members and rehabilitated ex-offenders, as the best teachers for this mission are people whom have lived and worked in this environment. There is no college that provides the lessons that can be learned from our representatives.
C.A.P.E.S. and Promises Inc. works to get appointments into high schools to get this important information out to the students. We also work with Loss Prevention Departments at retail outlets talking to kids that have brushed the law with shoplifting.
C.A.P.E.S. and Promises Inc. believes that even reaching one child per session saves potential victims.
We Need your Donations to Make this Program a Success!!!!
C.A.P.E.S. and Promises Inc. understands that times are financially difficult, but if we all chip in just a little bit we can help save future victims from ever being created. How much is that worth? It costs over $5.00 for one pack of cigarettes, going to a bar to have a mixed drink costs $5.00. The list could go on of things that cost $5.00. Can't we give up one pack of cigarettes or one drink to help save potential victims? Think of how much better you will feel knowing that you helped eliminate potential victims with your donation.
Large sponsorships are a thing of the past, if we want to change our communities we have to do it ourselves.
Look into your heart, and ask yourself, "Can I afford $5.00 to help curb crime and save potential victims?"
Watching the news every morning is saddening as each new crime story hits the airwaves. With the economy worsening the crime rate increases and a lot of these crimes are senseless. We are happy that you have taken the time to look at our website, to date we have had over 1500 visitors. But it takes more than just visiting to put an end to crime.
